Below you will find the SolarEdge Monitoring Guide.
SOLAREDGE MONITORING APP
The SolarEdge monitoring application is a great tool to analyze your PV production data and troubleshooting alerts that may arise (e.g. communication not reporting, low panel production, etc). In the app, you will see THREE separate graph charts:
-
Consumption (Total household consumption)
-
Solar Production (What the PV system is producing)
-
Self-Consumption (How much of the PV energy is being used by your home and battery, if applicable)
NOTE: SolarEdge Monitoring cannot differentiate the energy that is being drawn out from your Tesla battery and the energy being drawn out from your home’s consumption. Please refer to your Tesla app for a detailed analysis of this data.
STEP I
DOWNLOAD & CREATE PASSWORD
The SolarEdge application is available to download on the Apple or Google Play Store. You may also view this on your web browser by visiting: https://monitoring.solaredge.com/solaredge-web/p/login.
After our technician creates the as-built layout of your panels remotely, you will receive an activation link via email. Please be sure to complete the registration process within 24 hours of receiving the email link; if you are unable to complete the process within that window, you can click on “Forgot My Password” to reset your login credentials.
STEP II
UNDERSTANDING YOUR DASHBOARD
Once you are logged into your monitoring portal, you will see TWO viewing options: Dashboard and Layout
In Dashboard view, you will see an overview glimpse of your system’s current production. You can view this data by day, week, month or year.
In the Layout view, you will be able to see the individual production of both panels and inverter(s). Please note, panel production will have various outputs depending on array location and shading.
If you find that your panels are producing significantly low power on a sunny day or if they appear black with 0 kW output, please reach out to our Customer Care team at 808-748-8888 so we can troubleshoot the issue.
UNDERSTANDING YOUR DASHBOARD continued
Once your system has collected a significant amount of data after it has been energized, you’ll be able to view a bar graph showing a comparison of data by month, quarter or year.
